In order to remind the Positivus Festival's visitors that Baltics biggest art and music festival is held on the premises of a nature reservation - the Vidzeme rocky seaside territory, as well as to emphasize the necessity to preserve the untarnished beauty of the seaside nature, Positivus Festival organisers have teamed up with Latvias State Forests and will encourage visitors to respect nature and sign the Tidiness manifesto.

“This year Latvia’s State Forests invite all Positivus Festival visitors to pay special attention to things they leave behind them at the festival venue as well as the overall garbage generated, which would ideally stop them from littering,” comments Tomass Kotovičs - head of Latvia’s State Forests communication department.

One of Positivus Festivals qualities lies within the surrounding nature - the lustrous pine tree forest, rocky sea coast and green meadows. Its important for all of us to leave this nature reservation in the same condition as before the ninth festival and I strongly encourage all visitors to refrain from littering in the forests and throw garbage into the designated trash cans, says Positivus Festival organiser Ģirts Majors.

During the festival, Latvias State Forests will host various activities aimed at conserving a clean environment - the companys famous mascot - Cūkmens, a.k.a. Pigman, will be making sure that no trash goes un-binned and will educate those, who will fail to recognise the appearance of a trashcan. All festival visitors will be encouraged to sign the Tidiness manifesto, receiving a special acknowledgement from Pigman and Latvias State Forests.

The ninth Positivus Festival will take place in Salacgrīva, Latvia from July 17th - 19th and will once again be an event of epic proportions for all quality music and wild party enthusiasts. Along with the newest line-up additions Positivus Festival will also host previously announced acts - Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Placebo, Kasabian, St.Vincent, Basement Jaxx, Tom Odell, Jungle, Charli XCX, Lamb, Everything Everything, Fenech-Soler, Jack Garratt, Ewert and the Two Dragons, The Sound Poets,  Kate Boy, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Triana Park, Max Jury and Soak.
