Light and energy houses, interactive glowing objects and modern Latvian symbol designs will illuminate Positivus Festival nights and generate a charming festival atmosphere. In conclusion of the third annual Latvenergo’s “Elektrum” product line and Positivus Festival’s illuminated object competition, five winning applications have been selected to receive up to 1000 EUR to realise their projects at Positivus Festival.

“This year’s competition submissions were truly high quality - innovative, original and exciting; it was therefore quite difficult for us to pick the winners. All five final proposals featured elements of exceptional solution and design, which helped us select the best works. We’re especially thrilled that several artists keep returning to Positivus Festival again and again, helping us create a positively special music and art celebration,” comments Positivus Festival organiser Ģirts Majors.

Positivus Festival's 2015 illuminated object creators will be Krišs Rozenštoks and Kristaps Blaubergs (House of Light),  Atis Izands and Oskars Zāraks (Griezies līdzi!, Perspektīva), Niklāvs Krievs and Helvijs Matulis (Enerģijas namiņš) and Liene Ance Vārtukapteine (you miss).

According to the artist descriptions, “House of Light” will symbolise the eternal synergy between nature, energy and man, “Griezies līdzi’’ will symbolically portray the spinning world and colourful emotions, “Perspektīva” will channel the positive emotional impulses of visitors,“Enerģijas namiņš” will depict the festival’s music, artists, time, space and visitors, whilst the giant Latvian symbol Jumis, titled “you miss” will symbolise fertility and the earth’s blessing.

The submitted proposals were evaluated by a selected jury - the associate professor of the Latvian Academy of Art, head of the Faculty of Visual Plastic Arts, environmental art expert Aigars Bikše, Positivus Festival organisers, as well as representatives from AS Latvenergo and the brand activation agency SponsorKing. Contest winners and best project author names will be posted on Latvenergo's homepage www.latvenergo.lv as well as on Positivus Festival's website  http://www.positivusfestival.com. The contest organisers will contact the winners personally, negotiating the project realisation terms for Positivus Festival and the prize collection process.
