At this year’s Positivus Festival, we’ll hear the beloved British Sons Of Noel And Adrian, the Estonian Frankie Animal and Tallinn Daggers, the Lithuanian Freaks On Floor and Garbanotas Bosistas, the Belorussian Super Besse and many more. The biggest pop music festival in the Baltic’s will be taking place for the eight time from July 18 – 20 in Salacgrīva, Latvia.

The experimental band Sons Of Noel And Adrian consists of nine band members, whose music is currently being distributed in the Baltic’s by I Love You Records. The Willkommen Collective members have released two studio albums and have performed with the likes of Laura Marling, Mumford And Sons and The Leisure Society.

In their own words, Frankie Animal are as luscious as a freshly pressed mojito on a Friday night, mesmerizing the audiences with their powerful, yet intimate and delicate presence. During their two-year career span, the quartet have released an EP, played in Estonia’s most noteworthy venues and received highly favourable reviews from local critics, most of whom highlighted the impressive capabilities of vocalist Marie Vaigla, comparing her singing mannerism to that of Norah Jones.

Combining the elements of funk and rock, Freaks On Floor are one of today’s most interesting Lithuanian bands. During their five year run, Freaks On Floor have released two studio albums and won almost all local music awards in the most diverse categories – from best new band, to best Lithuanian rock band of 2011 and 2012.

The Russian-singing Belorussian band Super Besse convert their end-of-seventies musical heritage into modernized sounds, offering listeners an alluring mix of coldwave and post-punk.

The I Love You stage has always possessed a certain aura, giving visitors the feeling that the bands are playing especially for each one of them, rather than for the hundreds of spectators. The stage programme is supplemented by Big Wave Riders, Junk Riot, Get Your Gun, Stefan Rausch, Garbanotas Bosistas, Super Besse, Vincent Long, The Sinclair Sinclair and Frankie Animal. As previously announced, the stage will also feature Carnival Youth, Laika Suns, Das Sonntags Legion, The Citizens, Nē, Pyro Trees, Martas Asinis and Starmetis.

This year’s Palladium stage will not only be located in a new place, but will also be expanded, allowing for more spectators. The stage programme additions include Sons Of Noel And Adrian and Freaks on Floor. As previously announced, this year’s Palladium stage artists will feature K.Remonts, The Sound Poets, Audience Killers, Rīgas Modes, Pikaso,  Manta and The Velvet Supernova.
